Hmm, not quite sure why it doesn’t seem to produce a usable compilation database… ? If you have access to this machine, is it possible to run the tests in interactive mode and see what is going on? In particular, I’d like to see output from the “*compdb:*” buffer(s).

If not, no worries, I think a better approach here is to use pre-canned compilation database files, rather than the actual output of cmake/ninja. The main reason for this is to remove unnecessary dependencies, but if it stabilizes/fixes the automated tests, that would be good also.
