perl symbols cannot be updated in methods buffer automatically

I use ecb-2.32, and cedet-1.0pre4, ecb can build a decent methods buffer
for CPerl mode codes, but after I add/remove some functions, and save
the file, the methods buffer cannot be updated accordingly, even if I
click the "rebuild methods buffer" manually. The only possible way I
found is reopen that file. So, have I missed anything here to make ecb
work with perl correctly?
