I am not sure about options as i am not so familiar in ecb, i cannot add any comments here

I believe that virtual folders are very convenient. Virtual folders in emacs - it is my dream :)
Thus i think it would be definitely better to show to the left side either groups of buffers in "History" or, may be, it could be even possible to make new ecb interactor "*ECB virtual folders*"
