ECB 2.32 ist outdated. Please install current official version 2.40 or even latest stable CVS-snapshot - both available at the E$CB-website....
Especially concerning compatibility with forthcoming Emacs 23 a lot of things have been improved....
 
Please report if the bug is gone with newer ECB...

When ecb is active, calling 'customize-[variable OR face]' creates a new empty buffer [instead of

one with the expected 'customization' widgets]. The widgets are instead dumped inline into the

buffer that was active when 'customize-[variable/face]' was called.




If ecb is now 'de-activated', the problem goes away and customization works fine.
