To be honest, your description sounds very confusing to me... I have to admit, i do not understand, what do you want to tell me and what is your Problem... But you have always to run ECB with the same Emacs- and CEDET version you use When byte-compiling ECB (i.e. running make)... Klaus -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Salil [mailto:[email protected]] Gesendet: Montag, 8. Februar 2010 04:53 An: [email protected] Betreff: [ECB-list] ECB activate error I am trying to install and run ECB 2.40 on top of CEDET (latest) and Emacs 23.1 and it was getting activated the day I installed it but today I am getting an error - Error during layout Error type - File open Error Permission denied. From looking at the error file it is trying to open, ECB seems to be going to another user's home directory which I don't have permission to open obviously. This is really weird. I still get the everything is installed correctly and enjoy it message before it throws this error. Yesterday I was able to install and run it correctly . Today I get this error. I have a local copy of Emacs 23.1 installed. The /usr/local version of Emacs is 21. something and I installed CEDET suite pointing to this version using make EMACS=/path/to/my/local/emacs. Do you think that could be the problem ?
