This is good to hear.  I'm glad that you aren't having issues even with
CEDET 1.1.  I figured CEDET 1.1 would still work, but didn't want to
necessarily guarantee it.

tabbar-mode has sometimes given me a hassle (not only in conjunction
> with ECB 2.40, but elsewhere too), which seems to work nicely with ECB

Alex can't get enough credit.  The majority of the fixes in 2.5-dev are his
pulled from his repo.

This is consistent with info I've been digging up.  It seems this is an
artifact of a bug in Emacs 24.4.  It seems to be related to the issue
discussed in this (http://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=19584)
thread, but the patch (
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-diffs/2014-11/msg00152.html) didn't
seem to work for me.  I'll keep looking into it.
