Yes. I was irritated, because I tried to push to master, and got the
error message

No further hint what to do. Therefore, I tried to remove this commit as
first reaction, but this didn't help. Only a 'git pull --revert' solved
the problem, but this I tried after the removal of the commit.

Obviously a pilot error, but I'm not a git expert, and there was no
further hint ...
