Right, because package-vc doesn't support core packages, since they are
tracked within Emacs.

You appear to be a person of firm convictions, so I will not waste your
time anymore.  I've just pushed the package specification to nongnu.git
and the package should appear in the coming hours.

(Out of curiosity, what other projects are using a Nix store-model and
calling it that?)
