We have seen more persons who bind commands to C-S-u than persons who
use this GTK facility (to wit, none).  Clearly it is valuable to them,
and available on other builds.

It is true, or there would not be an item for both of these cases in
etc/PROBLEMS.  I am advising you now not to deny the problems which
exist with GTK, even if you are personally fortunate enough not to
experience them.  They are very well attested and known to many of the
regulars here, and controverting them is a useless and dilatory exercise.
