Hi, I looked in the eieio.texi file, and there is no reference to the items you recently were confused about, and then discovered how to use. I must profess, I don't remember! Could you look at the eieio.texi file in the "Customization" section, and perhaps suggest an addition that would have helped you solve your problem more easily? Thanks!
