Re: render into word_document, overwriting existing file

It appears to me that the file is automatically replaced.  Running this document:

title: "Habits"
author: John Doe
date: March 22, 2005
output: word_document
---

Here's a table

```{r, results = "asis"}

library(knitr)

kable(data.frame(A = rnorm(10), B = rnorm(10), c = rnorm(10)))



```

Multiple times resulted in an updated Word document every time, without needing to delete the existing Word document.

I would like to render an *.Rmd file into a word document, running R on Microsoft Windows, without having before to delete a file with the same name and path as the file I want to render into.

Are there preamble settings or render() parameters which allow me to do so?
