That is great that you are working on ACP connections.

Yeah, the Emacs logo is copyrighted, but here's the beautiful thing:
it's under the GPL (GNU General Public License) . That means you
can basically do whatever you want with it—use it, modify it, share
it—as long as you play by the GPL rules.

You CAN:
- Use it on your website, blog, or project
- Modify colors, resize it, tweak it however you want
- Share it with friends
- Put it on t-shirts, stickers, mugs—whatever merch you want

You MUST:
- Keep it under the GPL license (version 2 or later) 
- Include a copy of the GPL if you redistribute it
- Not slap a different license on it

Basically, the FSF wants everyone to have the same freedoms with the
logo that they have with Emacs itself. Pretty cool.

Don't overthink it. The Emacs logo is free software all the way. Use
it, love it, stick it on everything. Just keep it under the GPL and
you're golden.
