Thanks.  At this point, I'd suggest that you take this up with the
maintainers of the Emacs distro which you installed, and ask them
investigate and fix the problem.  Our resident expert on these issues
has gone dark, so unless someone here has ideas for why this stopped
working between the version of Emacs you had before (Emacs 27, AFAIU)
and Emacs 29, that's the best I can suggest.  Sorry.
