In addition from what has been said: this is a Tor address. You need to
have Tor available (installed and running) to be able to browse onion
addresses.

If you don't know what tor is:

  https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tor_(Netzwerk) (German version)

If you want to try it out, install the tor-browser (available in the
repositories of most Gnu/Linux distributions). It's a modified firefox.
Very easy to use even for absolute beginners.

But to be able to open onion addresses from any other browser too, more
setup would be needed.

Note that using Tor is slow, needs more resources, and you would want to
decide if and when and how to use it. Like other solutions, it provides
an additional layer of privacy, no perfect fit-for-all solution. Only
one possible part of your concept.
