Ah, okay.  I've been using v31 for some time now.  I obviously missed
the change when it happened.  My current Emacs is v31 built on the 30th
of April.  I am not sure when I previously built Emacs but it could have
been a significant amount of time before.  Not a problem: I expect
surprises by using a development version!
