I was not able to customize `eshell-cmpl-dir-ignore' to avoid this.  But
there is also `eshell-cmpl-remote-file-ignore'.

OP, you could customize it to t and it should fix your issue.  FTR, dav
and davs are remote access methods supported by TRAMP.
