The CVS version has many bug fixes, and passes the test suite in more 
Emacs variants of Emacs than pre6.  CVS is labeled as pre7 which I'm 
very close to releasing when I can find a moment or two, and pre7 is 
(based on reports) quite stable and likely to become 1.0.
