Thank you for your feedback. What is your impression of JSwat? And how would you compare 2.39 with the JSwat latest version? Is it worth the update?

I really liked the 2.x version because it was fully functional, and yet very light and launched fast. Not only you can start JSwat from Emacs using jswat.el, since JSwat supports the customization of the source code editor, using gnuclient you can go back to Emacs after a problem is found.

I will try your version with the 3 version as soon as I have a chance.

I am a longtime jdb user, but decided to give jswat a try on your advice.

As you mentioned, your jswat.el works with jswat 2.39.  I took a very quick stab at changing your file for jswat 3 that I just downloaded.
I also added some logic to either use jde-run-application-class if defined, otherwise prompt for transport and port of a jvm running in debug mode for j2ee debuggers out there.

I attached the updated jswat.el file for others to use.  Again, it was a _make it work and see jdee-jswat integration_ set of changes; and no regression testing.
