Given Paul's past statements I highly doubt he would have any  
problems doing this.  I'd say go for it.

But, if you are worried about the consequences I can make the  
sourceforge project.  I'll then hand over all the duties to someone  
else.  This should insulate the new maintainer and it makes sense  
because I really don't know lisp so won't be much dev help.  :-)

However creates the project should add Pauls email about moving to  
sourceforge to the project, and add a brief header to all files  
giving credit and history.

At this point the person creating the project clearly isn't stealing  
anything, especially if its GPL code.
