i did add it, and it was a huge PITA. i hacked it into my .emacs from w3
mode's url package.

it sucked badly because it would regrab it from scratch every time the
display refreshed.

obviously, a slightly better version would have placed it into a buffer 
and then set a flag that said 'i got it already, here's the buffer', but i 
foind this solution to meet my needs, so i went with it instead and 
pursued this no further:
