Very strange. If the status line say "XML" then it should be the right mode. (Unless there is another xml-mode, hmm...) Emacs has a M-x list-load-path-shadows that you can use to see if there is another version of psgml in the load-path. Could you do a sgml-submit-bug-report from the buffer with "LEDATutorium.xml", and send the result to me.
