Well, in the DTD menu available when loading an SGML or XML file, you'll find the "Info" submenu, and "General DTD info" under that. This seems to give you the full path to all referenced external entities. 'C-h k' says that this is bound to `sgml-general-dtd-info', defined in psgml-info.el. I guess you could analyze that if what you're looking for is a programatic way of accessing the information.
