I can't help agreeing that syntax highlighting could be much improved in
PSGML. It is also a regularly requested feature. Is it hard to do? If I
wasn't such a hopeless lisp programmer I'd offer to look into it myself.
At a bare minimum it would seem that element names, attribute names and
attribute values should be colourised differently; but if someone were
to offer to step up to the mark and work on this, then many other things
could be done, such as distinctive colourisation of special attribute
values, like XPath expressions, namespace prefixes, or the internal
subsets of document type declarations.
