Hi Jay, I tried M-x semantic-show-unmatched-syntax-mode RET in a buffer, and did not get any syntax highlighted. I poked around and discovered that the hook was ignored / not installed. I tried M-x global-semantic-show-unmatched-syntax-mode RET and then I was getting unmatched syntax as I expected. I'm not sure why the per-buffer version wasn't setting things up correctly, as after using the global version, the per-buffer version worked until a M-x revert-buffer RET caused the hooks to reset.
