I always found eval-after-load a bit weird.  Here's one  from grammar.el:

(eval-after-load "speedbar" '(speedbar-add-supported-extension ".by"))

it takes a string in older Emacsen.

Also, it takes a form.  Not sure if your lambda will also execute or 
just become lost.
