I can't reproduce the problem that this PR claims to be fixing. The current version (without this PR) works fine for me, and the patch that the PR proposes has for me an annoying side effect of producing a redirect buffer that one needs to click through in order to navigate from a duckduckgo search results page link to the actual target URL.
