Sorry for the late response to your very timely one! I don't have much experience with this sort of thing, but I just checked a few sites I use regularly, and it looks like you're right, this would be quite javascript dependant.
That said, I keep things other than passwords (other personal and sensitive information etc.) in my pass store, and sometimes need to input it into text fields on web pages. I don't imagine it would be too hard to write something which just input into a form field from the password-store (or similarly, from the killring, which might be equally useful). I would be happy to have a look at implementing this?
