Although the MELPA version has no filter to lockout older Emacsen[1], the official version currently supports Emacs 27, 28, and 29 (and 30) only[2]. [1] I don't know who maintains the package version, and so I have nothing to do for it. [2] The installer is designed not to work for older Emacsen.
