Windows + Tramp + ssh

Hi all.

I'm trying to setup ssh over tramp on windows.

Read a lot information about it on the net, but still was unable to get 
it working. Tried both putty and openssh+Cygwin.

My main question is: is it possible to avoid using ssh keys and just 
enter my password, like I do on Linux? All I could find on the Internet 
seems to imply that the answer is 'no', but it's never stated explicitly.
