Cut and paste emacs 24.2.1

I just moved from 23 to 24, and cut and paste are broken once again.

What changed?

I'd like one clipboard:

C-c outside emacs and copy-region-as-kill and selecting with mouse-1 all 
copy to the same buffer.

C-v outside emacs and yank and mouse-2 all paste from the same buffer.

Bonus if the .emacs works on Linux as well.
