I don't ever getting an announcement for beta8? Did beta7 work OK for you?

Subject: [Xae] Newbie failure

Can anyone help, please ?

When I add '(require xae) to my init.el, my emacs initialization fails.
In my init.el I have:
-----------------------

;; xml editing with XAE package
(add-to-list 'load-path "~/.xemacs/xae-1.0beta8/lisp")
(require 'xae)

----------------------
I get the following:
----------------------
An error has occurred while loading `c:/.xemacs/init.el':

error: "Too many arguments to `defclass'"

To ensure normal operation, you should investigate the cause
of the error in your initialization file and remove it. Start
Emacs with the `--debug-init' option to view a complete error

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
