Mailing list server upgrade scheduled

Our hosts at Tux.ORG are upgrading the mailing list software from
Mailman 2.0.13 to the current revision of Mailman 2.1.  The work is
scheduled to be done on March 7 (US Eastern Standard Time, UTC-0500).

Status updates will be available from the XEmacs Services page at

http://www.xemacs.org/About/XEmacsServices.html

or one of the mirrors (www.us.xemacs.org, www.dk.xemacs.org are
primary mirrors updated immediately from website sources; other
mirrors may lag up to 24 hours).  I plan no more posts to the mailing
lists about this upgrade.

This upgrade is non-trivial (which is why it has taken so long), and
there may be service outages.  Please be patient; we will be working
on the upgrade until we're sure it's correct.  If you suspect that
there is a problem not related to the upgrade, please first check the
XEmacs Services page.  If the upgrade is not yet complete, then your
problem is probably related to the upgrade, and you should wait to see
if it fixes itself.

You may have noticed a service outage over the weekend, Feb 27--Mar 2.
This was a typo in a spam filter recipe, and completely unrelated to
the upcoming Mailman upgrade.
