Thanks for taking care of this. 
I am a bit confused: what do you mean by setting my TERM environment.
Surely not my (shell) setting

Using tcsh, I obtain by 

env | grep TERM
COLORTERM=
TERM=xterm

This is not what you mean. Hyper-apropos term also did not return
anything useful.
