vc package plans: vc-svn.el for xemacs?

There's apparently been a significant branch of the vc.el code between Xemacs 
and Emacs.  Are there any plans to have it converge, or adopt the current 
Emacs scheme of version control for Xemacs?

My interest is in using the 'vc-svn.el' code with Xemacs.  There doesn't 
appear to be any vc support for Subversion with Xemacs.  I know that 
'psvn.el' works, but this doesn't provide integration with the version 
control subsystem.

Should I just remove the 'vc.el' code provided with Xemacs, and try using the 
vc.el, vc-*.el code from the latest Emacs?  Or is that asking for trouble?
