Xemacs (vm) with popfile

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience of using popfile (popfile.sourceforge.net)
with vm under Xemacs.   Popfile sets up a local server at 127.0.0.1 which
replaces the pop mailserver, but the username has to be changed to
mailserver:usename which is the bit where I get stuck with vm (which has
it's own way of reading the colon).

Grateful for any pointers.   I can't bring myself to give up vm, but popfile
does do a really job filtering spam.
