It is an xemacs function, so C-h f will help you further. It is a quite 
powerfull way to insert code templates.

I tried this, but unfortunately it didn't help. It seems, this unwanted 
space is inserted _after_ the whole skeleton thing is done. I'll try 
without a skeleton later...

Since it is an (x?)emacs function, I would rather not do this with my 
minimum lisp knowledge.
