Shift-f? doesn't work anymore

Hello, something strange again: since some days (maybe a week) the shift-function keys seem to exist no more for xemacs: I had a function on shift-f4 which does the work of f4 now. To test it, I did: M-x help c (describe key) Then I pressed shift-f4. The answer was: "f4 runs the command ..." So xemacs ignores my shift key on function keys. Do you have any idea what this interresting "feature" is ?
