Can i use Xemacs to study ADA?

Can i use Xemacs to study ADA?
I 'm a newbie n nux and in informatics, and thus, begin study in 
informatics,:)!
I'lld be interrested, in using my prefered text editor - generaly only 
used to collect text and read or study tem ! - to write Ada programms, 
and maybee comile them :)!
Is there a way to make it and how, should i process, if you may guide 
me, thanks by advance!
I'm under MDK 9.1. on a P2, with a K6 CPU, patched, but i'm really 
newbie:(!
