If you haven't, please post a bug report (use M-x report-xemacs-bug). Dirk> Does anyone have any clues on what I could do to fix this? Dirk> If you need any more information, just ask. Or should I go Dirk> to some GNOME/GTK or Debian related newsgroup? xemacs-news is supposed to gatewayed to comp.emacs.xemacs, but due to "technical difficulties" at our ML host, is not. c.e.x is much higer traffic than xemacs-news. That said, this is probably a bug; there's no reason I can see why the gnome version should be different from the non-gnome version. You could try running xemacs -no-site-file to keep the Debian standard deviance from getting loaded, and see if it persists. If not, I'd ping the Debian maintainer, as well as doing M-x report-xemacs-bug. -- Institute of Policy and Planning Sciences http://turnbull.sk.tsukuba.ac.jp University of Tsukuba Tennodai 1-1-1 Tsukuba 305-8573 JAPAN Ask not how you can "do" free software business; ask what your business can "do for" free software.
