Hi, I could not see Thai-XTIS on my XEmacs-21.4.14 correctly. >>>>> In <[email protected]> >>>>> SJT == "Stephen J. SJT> I believe this font is available from the GNU international fonts collection. mm... When I type `M-? h' on my xemacs-21.4.14, I could not read `Hello' in Thai, only tildes. But I could read on Emacs-21.3.*(`C-h h') on my debian box. Also tutorial (Thai), I could see (perhaps correct Thai fonts) on Emacs-21.3.*, but I could not display Thai fonts on XEmacs-21.4.14 (absurd fonts). I have installed some fonts for Thai language. xfonts-intl-asian, xfonts-thai-* (debian package) -include /etc/X11/fonts/misc/xfonts-thai-etl.alias xfonts-thai-manop.alias xfonts-thai-nectec.alias xfonts-thai-vor.alias ttf-freefont (debian package) I attach the screenshoot for describing this. ;; left-side : Emacs-21.3 (debian package) ;; right-side : XEmacs-21.4.14 (compiled from source by myself) I try to copy with drag mouse-button1 from TUTORIAL.th on Emacs-21.3, paste with mouse-button3 to the buffer of XEmacs-21.4.14 (iso-2022-7bit), and save as TUTORIAL.th.iso7, I try by XEmacs-21.4.14 `C-x C-f TUTORIAL.th.iso7' could display thai font, but it seemed some character shown incorrectly as 2 characters, it should be 1 character. and I could not display correctly my XEmacs; C-x C-m c iso-2022-7bit-unix /usr/share/emacs/21.3/etc/TUTORIAL.th ;; Emacs-21.3 shown this as `-J' in mode line. I also tried to test http://www.ysnb.net/meadow/meadow-develop/2000/msg00197.html , http://www.netlaputa.ne.jp/~hshirai/Image/test.png , but XEmacs display only tildes as thai font like as follow; Thai (~~~~~~)~~~~~~, ~~~~~~^M nil ;; Emacs21.3 display thai font (perhaps correctly). -- Shinichiro HIDA [email protected]
