Same problem occures in next versions of XEmacs - now I use 21.4.15 with the same result - second script works fine, but - when I enter polish "o" character (alt+o) then in file it is written as "^[-A=F3^[-B", while the other letters are written properly as ISO-8859-2 without additional tags like "^[-A". Coding system of buffer file I have set to "iso-8859-2".
