No.  There won't be; coding cookies cause the developers more trouble
than they're worth.  We get lots of bug reports when coding cookies
fail due to pilot error.  At least with coding cookies in the first
line it's right there in your face.

I have a request from the Python people to allow cookies in the second
line.  That should be enough to handle all programmatic uses.

As for `set-auto-coding-function' I'm not sure what you want.  What
would that do that "file-coding-system-alist" does not?

I'll do something about fixing the docs, though.
