Blue death on nt with G550 and xpm

Hi!

I use a Matrox Millenium G550 graphics card in my computer and Win2K and 
XEmacs 21.4.11. When I enable garbage collection icon in my "init.el" 
file as written in "sample.init.el" in line 1197, the first garbage 
collection causes a segfault exception in the video driver code. The 
memory dumps and the computer restarts. It has happened with older 
Matrox drivers too, and newer XEmacs (21.4.12). The  native nt 
compilation and the cygwin compilation produces the same result.
