XEmacs 21.4.13 + Cygwin + (while t)

Try this under cygwin

    $ xemacs -vanilla
    (while t) Ctrl-J

Now try Ctrl-G. Now try Ctrl-Shift-G. Nothing aborts the computation.

I checked the archives and I saw some messages between Ben, Andy and
myself back in 2001 about this. Can someone tell me where this stands?
