Hello Wouter, there is one thing more to get things right: I had to edit c:\.xemacs\custom.el. I inserted the following line: '(gnuserv-frame (selected-frame)) after (custom-set-variables ...) So at the end there was (custom-set-variables '(column-number-mode t) ; '(gnuserv-frame t) '(gnuserv-frame (selected-frame)) '(font-lock-mode t nil (font-lock)) '(modeline-scrolling-method (quote scrollbar))) Afterwards I compiled custom.el. Now only one xemacs starts :-) kind regards Stefan *** > Hello Wouter, > > I solved the problem with > (void-function gnuserv-edit-files-quickly) > after updating several packages from my xemacs. > > I removed the line: > (gnuserv-start) > Now it works :-) > And I put in the line: > (void-function gnuserv-edit-files-quickly) > > in my init.el. > > Can you post this in the newsgroup, as anser to your > e-mail, I don't know how to do it on my own. > > Best regards, > > Stefan -- Stefan Pofahl Zentrum fuer Sonnenenergie- und Wasserstoff-Forschung Geschaeftsbereich 3 Helmholtzstraße 8 - 89081 Ulm - Germany tel: +49-(0)731-9530-408 - fax: +49-(0)731-9530-666
