Windows Line Terminator

I am new to emacs so please excuse my ignorance or posting to the wrong
mailing list.

It struck me that it would be useful to have an option on the MSWindows
version that would allow the selection of either newline or return-newline
to terminate text lines so that the output could be used easily for either
Unix/Linux or MSWindows-oriented applications. I am not sure whether
MSWindows expects an EOF charactor or not. Since emacs claims to be very
flexible, I would imagine that this wouldn't be hard to implement.
