Before you start planning your trip to see the Intrepid I suggest you want to make sure that it is actually open and available. When Michael and I were there after the Albany Tournament the whole thing was shut down due to damage from Hurricane Sandy. Structural damage to the Visitors center. We could still walk around the pier and see the Carrier, but it was not quite the full experience. Their website is somewhat promising. Maybe it is more accessible now than it was then. http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/Plan-Your-Visit.aspx Regards Bo Siemsen > Ground Zero, Intrepid and Kennedy Space Center are definitely on the list.
