Dispatches from the Bunker #37 Update & Playtesters still welcome

Hello to all my ASL Comrades. The subject lines says it all as we 
steam 
ahead on Dispatch #37 and have the 4 scenarios ready for 
outside 
playtesting. If you are interested in helping out, Please reply 
and let me  
know which one you want to play. As per usual, a FREE Copy of 
Issue 
#37 is yours for trying either of the first 3 listed, anyone who 
likes  
large PTO melees check out the Mawchi Road, I'll give you 2 FREE 
issues 
for taking on that one. Here they are: 

Stossgruppe Schlicter: Nice tourney sized offering from Bruce Childs finds  
us in Norway 1940 as the German force is trying to remove a roadblock, 
cause 
casualties and exit. Quick playing with variable game length. Boards 34 
& 37. 

Anchoring the Line: The latest RB action from Any Hershey see the 
Germans 
on defense on New Years Eve 1942 in the east-central part of the 
Barricades. 
Reinforced infantry companies on both sides as the Russians try to take 
back 
buildings from the German defenders. Variable VPs for buildings in the 
German 
set up area lead to a guessing game on what they are worth. Nice SSRs 
spice 
things up. 

LZ S: Mike Puccio's latest look at the Glider attacks into Germany in March 
'45. 
Reinforced company of glider troops with plenty of SWs and some ordnance 
land 
around and possibly amidst German artillery positions on Boards 1a, 43 
& 44. 
Taking out the guns is the goal. Very cool scenario with instant action as 
the 
gliders try to land amongst AA fire. 

Mawchi Road: A big, large, nasty PTO fight from Joe Gochinski sees Brits 
of 
the Royal Berkshire Regiment trying to clear the Mawchi Road at Toungoo, 
Burma. 
Both sides have 3 company sized infantry units that are augmented from a 
pool 
of Divisional assets including SMCs/SWs/Ordnance for the IJA and a fleet 
of 
various armed carriers for the British. Although a Big Scenario on Boards 
50, 63 & q, 
it plays fairly short due to only being 6.5 turns long and with all that 
firepower units 
tend to disappear quickly as well. Killer scenario in every way.

Tactical Tips. 
  
As you know by now, I have been transitioning from paper to pdf.

We have the usual 4 scenarios for current Issue #36 and here 
they are: 
  
Assyrian Ambush: The 2nd in the Battle for Iraq series by Ted 
Wilcox sees elements 
of the Iraqi Independent Mechanized Brigade running the 
gauntlet through Bd 57 
as British trained and equipped Iraqi levies try to stop them 
from exiting. All armor 
vs all infantry in 1941 for a quick playing tourney 
action. 
  
The Police Station: Joe Gochinski has another in the Hong Kong 
battles with action 
starting immediately with on board melees at start as the 
Japanese 38th Division tries 
to capture the Police Station, with it's overwatch position 
from the Winnipeg Grenadiers. 
Reinforced company side elements on both sides and a strong 
Canadian defensive position 
with fortifications makes for a taught battle until the end. 
6.5 turns makes it just small 
enough to fit into a tourney time slot or 5 to 6 hour time 
frame. Exciting action for sure. 
  
Hunting Gray Wolves: The latest in the NKVD series from our 
own Tom Morin sees a sweep 
by a company of NKVD 6-2-8s supported by mixed armor and air 
support trying to dig out 
Graywolve Partisans in the Ukraine. Board 34 is where the 
action is and comes down to  
much close range fighting and CC. Lots of FUN for both sides 
as CVPs and Hut Control 
are the VCs. 
  
Defending the Twin Villages: The Battle of the Bulge setting 
of the approaches to 
Rocherath-Krinkelt on boards 5 & 32 sees Kampfgruppe 
Muller of the 12th SS Hitler 
Jugend crashing into the valiant GIs of the 2nd Infantry 
Division. 18 (6-5-8) SS squads 
supported by 5 x JgdPz IV/70 Tank Destroyers attack a company 
of mixed American 
squads with a bunch of SWs, a 81* Mtr a 2 x M4A3/76W Sherman 
76L tanks. A fairly 
large action taking 8.5 turns with the SS trying to break 
through. Much maneuver and  
lots of firepower here.
