Hello to all my ASL Comrades. Just wanted to give my latest
update on our Newsletter Dispatches from the Bunker.
With current Issue #41 having been transmitted to our subscribers
at the end of last month, we will soon turn our attention to playtesting
for Issue #42, due out in March.
If you think you are a subscriber and did not get Dispatch #41, Please
reply and I'll check your subscription status. I had the usual dozen or so bad
e-mails bounce back to me when I sent it out.
Here are the scenarios that were published in #41:
Probe on the Trail to Hell: My latest in the long dormant Bougainville
Series finds elements of the 21st Marine Regiment advancing down
The East-West Trail and running into a defensive position of the
Japanese 23rd Infantry Regiment. Taking enemy hexes and CVPs
determine victory. Small tournament style action on half of Board 52.Death on the Eismeer Strasse: Ted Wilcox kicks off a new scenario
series looking at Special Forces. Here, above the Arctic Circle at the
Russian hamlet of Luostari, we see special forces of the 6th Separate
Guards Demolition Battalion holding the only road through the woods
on the other half of Board 52. They are being attacked by Elite German
infantry of Gebirgs Division 2. Nice tournament action in Heavy Snow
amongst elite troops.
Vorwald Waltz: A collaborative effort between Bob Tufano and our own
Tom Morin sees a medium/large battle over the village on Board 67
between an elite combined arms force of the US 9th Infantry Division
on defense and the mixed Panzer/Infantry Kampfgruppe from Panzer
Lehr. A nasty brawl ensues with M36 GMC tank destroyers trying to
deal with Panther tanks. A unique SSR sees bidding for the side you want.
The Kastelli Thirteen: Tom Morin reprises his Crete series for a small to
medium Para-drop by German Falschirmjaegers onto Board v, defended
by a numerically superior force of green Greek defenders supported by a
small detachment of Elite Brits. The German attackers need to weather
the storm and get organized but if they go, there will be hell to pay for the
defense.
We'll also have a new article by Bob 'Kedge' Johnson about Festung
Budapest along with a new Tips Article from Carl Nogueira.
Current Subscription Info:Re-subscriptions for any current subscriber are $14.00 for a 4
Issue subscription. Anyone not a subscriber who wants in can
get a subscription for $15.00 and starts with current Issue #41.
I'm also offering pdf Back Issues for $3.00 if complete or

For those unfamiliar with Dispatches, it is a 12 page Amateur
ASL Newsletter that comes to the greater ASL Community twice
a year, sometime in March and September courtesy of the New
England ASL Community, including the Bunker Crew and our yasl
Brothers in Southern New England. It typically contains 4 New Scenarios,
Analysis of each one, a Main Article on any aspect of the game system,
Tactical Tips, ASL News and Tournament Updates from our region. If sending a Check or Money order (in USA Funds only, drawn on a bank
based here in the USA), Make your remittance out to Vic Provost (NOT
the Newsletter) and send to:

and I'll do my best to answer your query. Thanks
again to all my Contributors, Playtesters, and

not be possible. Thanks for your time and
consideration, your ASL Comrade, Vic Provost. 'SSR: All Occupants of the Bunker Location
