MY TEMPEST DID THIS always reseting and the ram is old i replay all the buffers and the 74ls138 etc and then change the ram and it was fix change the ram frist dont think about the pokey or transistor arrays the game will power up with out it, go here if u need a manual http://www.mikesarcade.com/arcade/manuals/Battlezone.pdf ram h2 and j2 ----- Original Message ----- From: dorian To: vectorlist Sent: Saturday, December 11, 2004 1:06 PM Subject: VECTOR: battlezone i have an uptight battlezone. there is no sound. in fact the c012294 is cold. also the four transistor arrays are burning hot. anyway, there are four address lines where the waveforms are not like the rest. three of the lines go to the address decoder. all the usual stuff seems to check out(voltages, traces, board interconnect, etc). yes, the dog won't shut up. wdclr never goes low. two of the address lines run the wdclr. a6, a10, a11, a13 aren't like the rest. the rest are square waves, but the four are basically a line at ground potential with faint whispy multiple lines at the top. after the reset there is a square wave for a fraction of a second then it is as i just described. i replaced all the proms on the main board. so i can follow your train of thought and learn, why do you suspect the ram and how do i tell which ones are for 000-7fff?
